2025 Boys Basketball District Finals 02/28/25

The boy's basketball team played the Forest Hills Northern Huskies in the District Finals game. Overall it was a very close game with the Wildcats winning by a buzzer-beater basket and a final score of 56-53, allowing them to advance to the Regional Semi-Finals.

Willis tried to focus, but the Huskie student section was yelling in effort to distract him.

Hatibu is seen getting into position during the second quarter for a free throw. These points will almost tie the Wildcats and the Huskies.

Hatibu has the job of guarding the Huskie player who has the ball.

Northview junior Tyris Thomas goes for a slam dunk while a Huskie player tries to block.

The student section sprinkles positive energy for a player to complete a free throw. The sixth man is in full support of the Wildcats.

Wildcat Ryans holds the basketball getting ready to shoot a free throw in the second quarter. These points are crucial for the Wildcats. Swartz is encouraging Ryans during the shots.

Ryans leaps into the air with the ball, hoping to make the basket. He is trying to shoot and draw the foul.

Wildcats and Huskies are tied. But right as the buzzer sounds Swartz shoots the winning three-pointer.

The crowd anxiously waits as the ball floats through the air. Swartz scored the winning points to advance the Wildcats to the Regional Semi-finals.

The student section storms the court to celebrate with the team. They are excited to advance to the next game.

The Wildcat team holds up their trophy for winning the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) District Championships. They also pose with Reggie Willis a young Wildcat fan.

The varsity team went on to play in the Regional Semi-Final game on Tuesday, March 4 against Byron Center. The game was held at Hudsonville High School which is where the team finished their season with a 55-60 loss.
