Dagrenning (die er ning) is an Icelandic mare who was shipped from Iceland to Leavenworth in 2002 at the age of 9. She lived a super good life in one sweet spot for over 20 years. After her owner died, her American home was sold and her longtime herd was dispersed.
Dagrenning was adopted to the family with one of her student riders. In Spring of 25, Dagrenning found herself needing a long term plan.
Dagrenning is now at a boarding facility in Cashmere with open space and a BFF. While we'd love for her to stay there, we're open to another ideal spot should it open. The fact of the matter is, to give Dagrenning what she needs, she either needs a herd of people who can chip in. This horse, like all horses, deserves a secure place where she is well cared for and supported by humans and animal friends.
Dagrenning’s Sunset Club
The Sunset Club meets twice a week up Nahahum Canyon in Cashmere. Meet up activities include feed weighing, horse grooming, and walks. At 34, Dagrenning deserves to retire from riding but there are horse riding lessons available on the property. We are happy to pick you up at the bottom of the canyon and drive you up!
