Dagrenning (die er ning) is an Icelandic mare who was shipped from Iceland to Leavenworth in 2002 at the age of 9. She lived a super good life in one sweet spot for over 20 years. After her owner died, her American home was sold and her longtime herd was dispersed.
Dagrenning was adopted to a family with one of her student riders. Last spring, Dagrenning found herself needing a long term plan.
Dagrenning now has a permanent home at a boarding facility in Cashmere. She is well cared for and well fed. She is in great health and spry! But Dagrenning could use a little more company. Dagrenning is an experienced teacher and has a lot to offer lightweight humans and people who really love the idea of spending quality time with a horse.
