biographies

A seasoned performer with roots in the London stage, Steve’s musical journey began at 17 when he auditioned for the West End’s Buddy. Since then, he has honed his craft through years of session work, duos, and solo performances, culminating in a 2023 guest spot at the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool. Steve is best known for his uncanny vocal versatility. As Alan Lovell of the Swinging Blue Jeans noted upon hearing Steve’s rendition of "Dream," the quality is undeniable. Whether he's channeling the grit of the 50s or delivering smooth melodies, fellow musicians and radio presenters agree: he captures the authentic soul of Rock 'n' Roll like few others can.

A true architect of sound, Kim is the engine behind the band’s authentic 1950s and 60s aesthetic. With a career spanning decades, he specializes in recreating the specific, vintage tones of the golden age of Rock ‘n’ Roll using period-correct equipment. Kim’s reputation as a world-class stylist is backed by an enviable resume, having shared the stage and studio with some of the most influential names in music history. His credits include work with James Burton (Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison), Jet Harris (The Shadows), Jerry Donahue (The Hellecasters), and Mark Brzeski (Big Country). When you hear Kim play, you aren't just hearing a guitar—you're hearing the history of the instrument.

Rhythm is in the blood for Jake, the son of the legendary Phil Greenhouse (Bo Walton, Red Alert). Having grown up immersed in the UK’s Rock ‘n’ Roll circuit, Jake has quickly established himself as a powerhouse drummer in his own right. Bringing a lifelong understanding of the genre’s unique swing and energy, he provides the driving force that keeps our audiences on the dance floor. We are thrilled to have his talent and pedigree anchoring our rhythm section.

The rhythmic heartbeat of The Satellites starts with Steve Rocke. With over 50 years of experience, Steve has been a staple of the music scene since he first picked up the bass at fifteen. Having mastered everything from 1950s rock ‘n’ roll to contemporary hits, he brings a deep, versatile musicality to the stage. Alongside Jake on drums, Steve provides the rock-solid foundation that allows the band to soar—the ultimate backline for an authentic vintage sound.
