Supporting Students Through the OV LPP Program

Meeting student needs through support and mentorship

Otselic Valley’s LPP (Learning and Personal Pathways) program continues to support students and families through a variety of initiatives focused on meeting both academic and personal needs. Located in the counseling area on the second floor, a mini food pantry is available for OV students and their families who may need additional support. The program also provides access to clothing and essential items through Karter’s Closet. Recent community donations have helped ensure that students have what they need both in and out of the classroom. LPP students, along with Miss Linda, assist with organizing and preparing these donations for distribution to families.

In addition to these resources, LPP students have participated in mentoring sessions with students from Colgate University. Through an ongoing partnership with Colgate’s Center for Outreach, Volunteerism and Education (COVE), mentors visit campus to connect with students, build relationships, and provide guidance in a supportive environment. These mentoring opportunities give students time to collaborate, ask questions, and grow in confidence while forming meaningful connections with their Colgate peers. The OV LPP program continues to play an important role in supporting students by providing access to resources and fostering partnerships that encourage personal growth and success. Thank you to Miss Linda, our staff, and community partners for their continued support of this program.
