HERBERT WELLNESS CENTER 30TH ANNIVERSARY

Over 30 years ago, Norm C. Parsons Jr., Herbert Wellness Center Founding Director, had a vision to develop a facility that was not just for working out and sports but also for holistic well-being. The Herbert Wellness Center has actualized this goal as a space for students, alumni, faculty, and staff to come together and sustain a commitment to a healthy lifestyle. Notably, the Herbert Wellness Center is the largest employer of students on our campus, where they learn life-long leadership skills in conjunction with the foundation for an active life.

At many universities, fitness and wellness are just small pieces of a large recreation department. But at the Herbert Wellness Center, wellness isn’t just part of what we do—it’s the core of who we are. It’s our bread and butter, our mission, and our primary focus. The Wellness Center is where well‑being, community, and connection all come together under one roof.
