It's one thing to learn about historical events and places, whether in a classroom setting or from a textbook. It's completely different to physically experience them. Throughout our two weeks in China I was able to combine my historical knowledge with physical experiences, and make my own comparisons. It was interesting to see how architecture, clothing, and even communities have changed over time.
