Ranking the top 10 NFL free agents and where they should go

#10: Travis Eittene

Eittene is having a good year in Jacksonville and is set to be a free agent this off-season. This year he averages 4.7 YPC and he is on pace for 1000 yards. Eittene seems like he should be a top guy for teams that are RB-Needy and are trying to buy in for a Super Bowl run. Teams that need him/best fits: 1. Texans, 2. Chiefs, 3. Commanders

#9: Mike Evans: I honestly don’t think he is retiring. I think he will go for one last ring Chase kind of like Gronk did when he went to Tampa Bay. Mike Evans is such a quality player make for any team, and he is also very consistent when not injured. I don’t think teams especially rebuilding ones should wast cap on him, but for buying teams he is a great fit. Best fits/needs: 1. Patriots, 2. Broncos, 3. Packers

#8: Alec Pierce: Pierce is always a good 3rd down receiver no matter what team he would be on. He has averaged over 20 yards per catch the last two years, and he is finally rising in the receiving ranks, as he is on pace to have over 1000 yards, but instead of him going to a contender, I see him going to a rebuilding team, as he is still young. Best fits: Steelers, Dolphins, Ravens

#7: Jaylen Phillips: Phillips is still only 26 and he has been a key piece to this Eagles defense since being traded. He appears to be in his prime after dealing with significant injuries the past few seasons, including a torn ACL last year. For the season, Phillips has four sacks, 12 QB hits and 40 tackles. I don’t know if Phillips will go to a rebuilding team, or a contending one, but all I know is he will definitely go to a team in need of a EDGE. Best Fits: 1. Bears, 2. Chiefs 3. Jaguars

#6: Braden Smith: Smith has been a great tackle since joining the Colts. Smith has experience, but teams should be worried about injuries as he’s missed time, including five games last season and seven the year before. At 29, Smith is still one of the most best free agents and the best free agent tackle. He’s consistently one of the better right tackles in the league and should get a healthy multi-year deal. I think it doesn’t matter whether he goes to a rebuilding team or a contending team, he will just go to a team who needs him. Best Fits: 1. Texans, 2. Panthers, 3. Cardinals.

#5: Breece Hall: There was many trade talks around the deadline, but the Jets kept him as their running back. He will probably not be resigned or he will be traded, as the Jets are a rebuilding team. Hall has been fantastic this year, rushing for 834 yards on 4.5 yards per carry, and what’s insane is he is doing this while the Jets are still passing the ball lots. Hall is only 24 and I expect him to definitely go to a contender. #1: Texans, #2: Chiefs, #3: Vikings

#4: Tyler Linderbaum: Linderbaum is 6th in the entire NFL in Pass block win rate at 97% and he is only 25. Linderbaum is such an unstoppable force and very running back is probably hoping they get Linderbaum. Baltimore for sure wants him back, but we don’t know if they want to pay 23 million for a center this off-season. Linderbaum will more than likely go to a contending team in my opinion. Best fits: 1. Patriots, 2. Jags, 3. Texans

#3: Daniel Jones: I fear putting him this high as he will be coming off an Achilles tear, but he was still awesome this year. Jones has led the team to a 8-5 record but how much of that has gone through Jonathon Taylor? Taylor leads the league in yards, and TDs, and he has even been a MVP contender at times. Jones tearing his Achilles changes a lot for him and I don’t know if he will be good again. Jones will go to a QB needy team most likely, and a team that doesn’t have a high enough pick. I think we all know which team that is: 1. Steelers, 2. Dolphins, 3. Vikings

#2: Trey Hendrickson: He is having a down year as he isn’t top 20 in pass rush or run stop win rate, and he has only 11 tackles and 4 sacks after leading the league in them last year. Hendrickson also can get injured and he is 31. Yet still he is an unstoppable force, but I don’t know if he’s good enough to even make 20 million this off-season. I could see him and Danielle Hunter being alike. Both turning and 30 year old edge rushers when signed to a new team, and changing a team’s defense. He will for sure go to a contending team, as no rebuilding team wants an aging veteran. 1. Patriots, 2. Chargers, 3. Bears

#1: George Pickens: This seems like an obvious #1 as Pickens is 7th in receptions, 3rd in yards, and 5th in TDs. He has more yards than Chase, Jefferson, and Amon-Ra the big 3 receivers coming into the year. He’s doing all of this with Ceedee Lamb competing with him. Without question, Pickens is only 24 and is in line to receive a long-term deal worth $30 million per year, and could challenge the $100 million guaranteed threshold as well, and he will definitely go to a WR needy team. Sadly he has already been on the Steelers so he will not have any interest going back there. 1. Bills, 2. 49ers, 3. Saints
