January 15, 2024

Photo from the KingCenter.org

The birthday of Martin Luther King Jr., January 15, 1929, is celebrated as a federal holiday on the third Monday in January each year. The day honors and pays tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. and his legacy of promoting nonviolent activism in the Civil Rights Movement against racial discrimination. It is also a day where citizens perform public service in his honor.

New Fairfield Town Offices will be closed on Monday, January 15th for the holiday honoring Dr. King.
