Below is a list of processes that we'll cover during ORIENTATION. Feel free to jump ahead completing steps 1 & 2. It's important to understand how to access your TAFE email account.

Let's test your TAFE NSW connectivity...

1. Your TAFE account - logging into the Student Portal

Go to my.tafensw.edu.au and log in using your username and password issued to you when you confirmed your enrolment. Only students with ACTIVE enrolments will be able to login.

If you log in successfully, you should now see your Student Portal. This is where you can access your email and other TAFE services, including checking your results later in the semester. If you are logging in for the first time with a temporary password you will be prompted to Change Password immediately - please do this as instructed.

This is my Portal page (staff Portal) so yours will look a little different but the link to Change Password is located in the same place. The link to access your TAFE EMAIL will be located on the right side of the page, about half way down, roughly where you see IDM Tools on my page above. It's best if you login into Microsoft Office (see further instructions below) and set up your email in Outlook.
Call IT support on 1300 823 343 if you are unable to connect to your Student Portal
