Coaches Corner
Currently, Chestertown is covered in snow and all are digging out...a good time as any for a newsletter! The first semester has come and gone and The Flock are currently on campus over winter break. We're looking forward to a week full of practice as we prepare for the start of conference play this weekend!
The non-conference portion of our schedule has taken us to many places, including two D1 exhibitions, out of region tournaments, comeback wins, buzzer beating losses, and many highs and lows. Recently, we defeated Delaware Valley at home, erasing a 15-point deficit and closing the game out late with teamwork and intensity. This win pushed our tally to 5 on the season, which passes the 2023-2024 season total. Another point of pride: in nearly every game, we have been tied or within one possession deep into the second half. Much more work to do!
Most importantly, we have a high character group here at Washington College. Our student-athletes do good work in the classroom, in the community, and represent the program and all those who came before us well. We continue to build and will do so the right way. Go Flock!

This week, we welcomed Allie Perugini from Embark Mental Performance. Allie worked with our group on mental performance, breathing strategies, and team mental skill strategies. It was great to work with Allie. We took a great deal from the lesson and will use these mindfulness tools throughout the season. Follow the link below!
