Principal Message
Dear Families, As we head into the last week of May, we are entering what will be a very busy and exciting few weeks ahead. Thank you to everyone for your continued dedication, flexibility, and support as we move through this important time of year together. A special thank you to those who were able to attend our final School Advisory Council (SAC) meeting of the year. We appreciate the ongoing partnership and support from our parent community and SAC executive throughout the school year. Please see the message from the SAC Executive below for additional information and updates. As always, thank you for the care, compassion, and commitment you bring to our school community each day. May these final weeks of the school year be filled with moments of joy, accomplishment, and connection as we continue walking together in faith and learning. Loving God, As we move through these busy days, bless our students, staff, and families with patience, energy, and kindness. Help us to support one another, celebrate our successes, and finish this school year with grateful hearts. May Your peace and guidance be with us in all that we do. Amen. Have a wonderful weekend, Mrs. Carr-Jeschke & Mrs.McNamee

School Council Corner
Please see the following communication from your SAC Executive: Thank you to everyone who attended the May 20 School Council and Parent Advisory Association meetings. The minutes are now posted on the website for your review. We had the opportunity to meet our incoming principal, Mr. Filiplic, who joined us along with ECSD Division Principal Chris Ciccini. Mr. Filiplic shared that he brings personal School Council experience, having served as both Treasurer and President of his children’s School Advisory Council. Thank you to both for taking the time to attend. Volunteer Needed for Last Day of School Treats We are looking for a volunteer to coordinate a student treat on the last day of school, Tuesday, June 23. This is a full day of classes. Last year, individual ice cream treats were purchased through Costco. The volunteer would be responsible for purchasing and distributing the treats following the talent show. The cost will be covered by the St. Paul Parent Advisory Association. If you are able to assist, please email christineymeadows@gmail.com 2026-2027 School Dates Booked During the meeting, Mrs. Carr-Jeschke also shared several important dates already planned for the upcoming school year. These can be found in the Administration Report on page 16. We also took time to recognize Mrs. Carr-Jeschke, who will be moving to Our Lady of Victories Catholic Elementary School in September. Over the past eight years, first as Assistant Principal and most recently as Principal, she has led our school through many significant moments, including the pandemic, renovations, and the introduction of new curriculum. Throughout it all, she has provided steady leadership and care for students, staff, and families. We are grateful for her contributions to our school community and know there will be more time for thank yous and goodbyes over the next few weeks. May 20 marked our final meeting of the school year. Our next meeting will be the General Meeting in October 2026. School Council plays an important role in supporting student success by bringing families and school staff together to share perspectives, provide input, and support school initiatives. Reminder: Air Quality Guidelines
With the warmer weather comes the risk of poor air quality due to wildfires. Air quality is to be monitored similar to extreme cold temperatures. The suggested guideline is that students do not go outside when air quality reaches an index of 7 or more. Principals are to carefully monitor the air quality in their area when the index reaches levels of 4-6, indicating a moderate risk. Please note that this could impact end of the year activities and field trips that are dependent on being outdoors. Should an activity or field trip need to be cancelled due to poor air quality, parents will be notified via email the morning of the activity. Every effort will be made to try and rebook cancelled activities/field trips. In cases where this is not possible, we will work to ensure students participate in an alternate activity at the school. Families will be reimbursed for missed activities/field trips on Powerschool.
Staff Parking Lot
A reminder that the staff parking lot is not to be used for student pick ups or drop offs. There are staff vehicles, as well as Division vehicles coming in and out of the lot, making it very unsafe for students. Please choose safety or convenience and drop students off in designated drop off areas: 96 Ave in front of the school or 145 Street to the west of the school. Thank you for your support with this!
