We kicked off the day with Micky’s insightful demonstration of how Express is leveraged as an enterprise tool, showcasing its capabilities far beyond the typical academic use cases.
A common question we get from academics is whether this tool is used in the industry and, if so, how.
Micky’s session addressed this perfectly, illustrating how the University’s Student Union applies Express to real-world situations, particularly in the management of social campaigns.
The examples Micky shared provided a clear picture of Express’s versatility and its practical value as an enterprise tool, giving everyone a much deeper understanding of how it can be effectively used outside the classroom and in future careers.
Rachel’s session was all about how Adobe’s digital tools can power up projects, save time & elevate ideas!
Rachel touched upon the benefits of being a Creative Campus for students, and how it opens up great opportunities for colleagues too and provided links and stories within her webpage to refer to.
Rachel walked through tons of real-world examples of how she uses Adobe Express in her work with students – from creating multi-disciplinary projects to developing module planners, improving colleague communication, and even using webpages for lecture slides. It was packed with practical tips on how to leverage these tools in everyday work and really helped to spark ideas for attendees!
We had the opportunity to connect and network during lunch
Some thoughts from our attendees on the day
Highlight for me was meeting peers and confirming we all have same issues, but we can help to solve these together and learn from each other.
Great to have a more intimate session. Same challenges across the sector, but we can learn from each other and in particular the SU world who have the ear of the student in a way academics don’t. They have a more fun approach and so more effective at engagement. Why not try this as a teaching approach.
Smaller group was good, more chance to talk to each other. Adobe can help with customising and contextualising learning tools. The sector need tools, templates and assistance to help us cut through the noise of HED.
Insightful day - learnings around web pages which we can use for training reps.
