Updates
The Book Fair is almost here!
Students will be shopping on Thursday, 10/19, Monday, 10/23, Tuesday, 10/24, and during conferences on Wednesday 10/25. Final sales are on Friday, 10/27.
Important: For students paying with cash, we will be rounding up to the nearest dollar. Why? It saves time and the change will be donated to our All for Books Program. The All for Books Program will allow students to select books for the classroom libraries from the book fair! In addition, Scholastic matches the amount we raise distributes them to children in need through organizations such as Kids In Need Foundation, Reader to Reader, Inc., and the National Center for Families Learning.
Halloween Parade & Classroom Parties - October 31st
Once again this year, our K-2 students will begin parading at 9:45 AM with classroom parties to follow. Students in grades 3-5 are invited to watch.
Students in grades 3-5 will begin parading at 2:00 PM with classroom parties to follow. Students in grades K-2 are invited to watch.
This allows our parking lot to be less congested and students to enjoy watching each other parade. Parents can view the parade from the grassy area between the sidewalk and the front of the building.
Changes in Breakfast - Please Read & Take Action
We continue to work toward consistency in our breakfast service. The TSD has provided many resources on the TSD School Hub, including information about breakfast, to ensure that your child is receiving/not receiving breakfast per your request (see below). I have also included the original flyer with the QR code and a direct link (see below). Please use this to OPT-IN or OPT-OUT. This will help to reduce confusion.

Parking Lot Updates
For your safety, and the safety of our Wildcats, please follow the flow of the parking lot. Recently, we've seen many drivers pull into the parking lot, and make an immediate left, going against traffic to park. This is not only dangerous, but puts drivers at risk for an accident.
There are "No Parking" signs along the house on the left as your enter the school parking lot. Please know that the Troy Police Department is monitoring this area and will begin ticketing if you are illegally parked.
Holiday Help
The holidays are approaching. If your family is in need of support for Thanksgiving or holidays celebrated in December, please email me directly at awallace@troy.k12.mi.us.
