Half Way There Day At Otselic Valley

Celebrating the 90th Day of School

Students in grades 3-5 recently celebrated the 90th day of school – also known as Half Way There Day – with an afternoon full of fun and creativity!

Classrooms hosted a variety of engaging activities, from dancing and playing games to drawing and enjoying snacks with classmates. The celebration gave students an opportunity to take a break from their daily routines and connect with peers in a fun and relaxed environment.

To wrap up the day, students headed to the gym for some energetic group games. They worked together to scoop up colored balls in a “Hungry Hungry Hippos”-style challenge, competed in “Clean Your Room” by tossing balls to the opposite side of the gym, showed off their dance moves during freeze dance, and raced to the finish line in a balloon pop relay. It was a fantastic way for students to celebrate reaching the halfway point of the school year together.

Students followed along with a step-by-step video to practice their drawing skills during Half Way There Day.
