Greetings

Who is ready for Friday Night Football and to see our dancers shine at half time?! We can't wait! See below for details about home games. And please be sure you have the most updated football schedule. A previously published schedule had the Bell vs. Irving MacArthur away game on September 1, but it is Thursday, August 31st. Also, you will notice Doll parties on the calendar now. Each dancer will create a doll that will be used for Homecoming hallway decorations. The Doll parties are not mandatory, but very helpful and fun for the dancers to craft together. After Homecoming, the next big event will be the MiniRette Clinic on October 7; start thinking of the future dancers to invite! 💙

Home Games

Tickets to home football games will be available for purchase online during the week of the game.

There is a "no in and out" policy at Pennington Field will be enforced. Once you enter the stadium for a game, you cannot leave and come back in unless you purchase another ticket. This rule pertains to adults as well as students.

Pennington Field Bag Policy- As part of Pennington Field's safety processes, only certain types of bags can be brought into Pennington Field.

Allowed Bags:

• Clear bags (plastic, vinyl, or PVC) that do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12"
• One-gallon clear plastic Ziploc-style bags
• Clutch bags approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap, that do not exceed 4.5" x 6.5"
• Medically necessary items
• Diaper bags and camera bags are allowed, but must be inspected by staff at the gate. Diaper bags must enter at the same time as the baby.

September CALENDAR FUNDRAISER- PICK A DATE TO DONATE

If you are still looking for sponsors or need support for drill team expenses and the NYC trip, consider participating in the optional Calendar Fundraiser where you ask friends and family member to pick a date to donate. Below is a picture calendar for Instagram and/or Facebook so you can share on your personal social media pages if you like. How does it work? Have people choose a calendar day to sponsor. They will donate the amount of money equal to the corresponding number (i.e. Sep. 20 equals donating $20). Keep going until every day is sponsored (a person could technically sponsor more than one day if need be). You will collect the money and then submit the money to our Treasurer Shannon or Assistant Misty so it can be credited to your daughter's account. Doing this optional fundraiser in September will allow us to get a check to Greenlight for the trip and apply to your dancers' accounts before Pumpkin Rolls, so you can see how many rolls they need to sell. We hope this helps!

Trip Update: Everyone who was on the waitlist is now officially added into the trip. If you were unable to pay your deposit before, please log back in Greenlight as soon as possible and make that payment. If you have any questions, please contact the directors.

Directors' Corner- Ms. Ibanez & Ms. Blankenship

Welcome to football season! Our dancers this year continue to impress us with their dedication and work ethic to strive for perfection. We had our first tryouts this past week, and the first pep rally and football routines are going to raise the standard for Raiderettes. I am so proud of how hard our dancers have been working so far and it will show in these two upcoming performances. I am so excited for our Raiderettes and Sapphires to take the field and pep rally floor. Our first varsity away game has been moved up to the Thursday night, make that change in your calendars from September 1st to August 31st. We are learning a contest dance on September 4th, even though it is a school holiday we will have practice from 8-11am.
