Aubrea's Online Artwork Fall Of 2024

Seattle Postcard

I created a postcard for Washington, Seattle with a simple design. I learned how to cut out different images and put them together, as well as how to put them into letters. My goal was to make a simple yet aesthetically pleasing postcard that people could use for anything when visiting Seattle and any of its many attractions. I feel great about it, it was my first piece of art that I'd ever done on Photoshop, and I think that with that in mind it turned out better than I expected. I want the audience to see and be able to identify the images in the letters and background; like the waterfall or rainforest in the letters or the pier in the background.

Suicide

I created a picture that communicates how suicide affects teen, that shows just how many lives suicide can take in just one year, from teens. I learned how to do shadows and how to make colors darker or lighter and how to do layer masks. My goal was to make a picture that would communicate just how dangerous suicide is and how these thoughts shouldn’t be ignored. I feel like I did a good job communicating my message and I feel that I showed the dangers of suicide well. I hope the audience takes in the dangers of suicide and the death rate and will possibly help to keep those deaths down by getting their friends and family help if or when needed.

How Monsters Are Made

I created a horror movie poster about a monster that was created out of the things that happened to him as a teenager. I learned how to break down images into color schemes and change certain amounts of pixels to one color and others to another and make them fit a certain color scheme. My goal was to create a poster that fit a horror theme and fit towards what i imagined to happen and towards the title. I feel amazing about it, this is my favorite that I’ve done this year and I especially love how the masks in either corner turned out, they look totally realistic and fit the color scheme and theme perfectly. The audience should feel suspense or excitement for the movie that this could be.

Zombie

I created a book cover for one of R.L Stine's books. I learned how to change images completely with a certain type of media. My goal was to create a more simple version of the real book cover, yet still make it as close to the book as possible. I feel good about it ,this one was rushed towards the end but I still think it looks nice enough and I especially like the back cover. The audience should feel excited to look at this cover but they would probably feel in a spooky mood as this is a Halloween book.
