PRINCIPAL'S DESK

Dear Bluejay Family,

In today’s Gospel, the apostles ask Jesus to increase their faith. Instead of promising to make faith easier, He reminds them that even faith the size of a mustard seed can do great things. The mustard seed reminds us that faith doesn’t have to be grand or perfect. It only has to be real to be powerful. Jesus also reminds us that true faith is lived out in humble, steady service.

A faithful servant doesn’t expect praise or reward for doing what’s right — the joy is in doing what we are called to do. It’s easy to grow weary or wonder if our efforts matter. But this Gospel reminds us that God sees every small act of love, every quiet moment of perseverance, every unseen kindness. When we serve with joy and humility — when we give our best without needing recognition — that’s where real faith shines.

Let’s step into this new week with mustard-seed faith and servant hearts, knowing that when we each do our part with love and humility, God does something far greater with it than we can imagine.

Grace & Peace,

Erin B. Henry

A Familiar Face Joins Our Nest

We are delighted to welcome Mrs. Keeley McGuire to our St. Cecilia team in a part-time role as she begins her Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) Formation. She is already a familiar face on campus as a Bluejay mom to Finnley. A proud Navy veteran, she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. From our first conversations, Keeley’s deep faith and her genuine love for children stood out, making her a beautiful fit to help us grow our CGS program.

Under the wing of Mrs. Glenda Serio, Keeley will begin her journey in the Atrium—learning what it means to help our youngest Bluejays grow in their relationship with Jesus. She’ll also be lending a helping hand with PreK recess supervision. In the years to come, we look forward to seeing her role expand as our nest continues to grow.

Please join me in giving Keeley a warm Bluejay welcome and lifting her in prayer as she begins this new season of service and grace at St. Cecilia.

MASS MUSIC

Below are next week's SCS Mass songs. You can find these and more in our SCS Mass Music Youtube playlist.

  • Processional: "The Father's House"
  • Offertory: "This is the Air I Breathe"
  • Communion: "Holy Forever", "What a Beautiful Name"
  • Recessional: "I Could Sing of Your Love Forever"

Special Request

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, our Spanish and Music classes are working together to learn the beautiful Spanish hymn “Pescador de Hombres” (“Fisher of Men”). This song ties in perfectly with our school theme this year and will be sung together during Mass once we feel students are familiar enough with the melody and lyrics. We will be singing only the first half of the song (first verse, chorus, second verse, chorus). To help students feel confident and ready, we kindly ask that they take time to practice the song at home. A link to a video of the song and to the lyrics are included below. Thank you for supporting this special collaboration!
