Lute Women's Lacrosse vs. Puget Sound 2025 Pacific Lutheran University Digital Game Program

Setting the Scene: The Lutes wrap up their four game homestand tonight, welcoming crosstown nemesis University of Puget Sound to East Field.

Series History: This is the second all-time meeting between the Lutes and Loggers. The two Tacoma rivals last met on March 8 with host Puget Sound squeaking out a 12-8 victory. That game saw the Lutes lead 5-3 after an Issabella Marchio goal early in the second quarter but the Loggers tallied the next seven goals to seize control.

About the Lutes: Pacific Lutheran (1-8, 0-2 NWC) had a rocky welcome to Northwest Conference play over the weekend, falling 21-1 to Willamette University and 20-1 to Linfield University.

Issabella Marchio provided the Lute score against Willamette while it was Annie Latimer the following day for the first-year program.

Goalkeeper Kassie Diller notched her 100th save of the season over the weekend, making 11 saves against the Bearcats and 12 stops the following day against the Wildcats.

Eight Lutes have scored a goal this season and nine have registered a point. Taylee Alldredge headlines that group with a team-best 18 goals and 20 points. Alldredge has scored in seven of the team's nine games. Annie Latimer leads the team in assists (six) and is second on the squad in points (eight), Issabella Marchio has seven goals with Katrina Moran chipping in five.

Alldredge also leads the team in ground balls with 31 while Gracie Cecka has 20 in 2025.

Kassie Diller hasn't missed a minute in goal, racking up 112 saves with a 42.3 save percentage across the opening nine games.

About the Loggers: Puget Sound (3-7, 1-2 NWC) secured a 12-7 victory in the NWC opener back on March 28 but came up short over the weekend, falling 22-7 to Linfield and 20-0 to Willamette.

Cat Schilli is a scoring machine for the Loggers, boasting 21 goals and 23 points through the opening 10 games while Maggie Ott adds 17 goals and a team-best four helpers. Michaela Chen is the third UPS player with double digit goals, owning 14 on the 2025 campaign.

Phoebe Crowther is the Logger goalkeeper, having made 80 saves this season with a 33.6 save percentage.

East Field Magic: PLU's East Field has been a tough place for opposing team's to play at during the 2024-2025 academic year. The Lute women's lacrosse squad along with the Northwest Conference Champion men's and women's soccer teams have combined for a 15-6-7 record on the turf this academic year.

A Season of Firsts: Women's lacrosse became the first new varsity sport for the University since 1996 when the team played its first game back on Feb. 16. That game saw a lot of milestones. First goal was provided by Taylee Alldredge, the first assist was claimed by Annie Latimer. Meanwhile, later that week Kassie Diller became the program's first NWC Athlete of the Week.
