Lines of Communication
We are aiming to improve our lines of communication between the school and home. To that end, we have created the email address homeschoolcomms@westgate.slough.sch.uk for all parent communication into the school.
One member of staff operates this email account and redirects messages to the relevant staff. You will receive both a receipt acknowledgement and a 48-hour follow up email to ascertain your enquiry has progressed.

Buildings Update
It’s been a busy start to the year in more ways than one. We returned to school to learn that the Main Hall, Dance Studio, a section of the Canteen and the Drama studio will be out of use for the school year. This has caused challenges during the first week especially at break and lunch times.
However, from week commencing 16th September the large multi-purpose hall will be rearranged to accommodate catering and dinning. We are in the process of ordering covered outdoor dinning spaces.
New Uniform Arrival
We still await the arrival of the girls’ skirts. Thank you for your patience. In the interim year & girls can wear their PE kit and years 8-10 girls should wear their black skirt and/or trousers from last year. We also have spare unused black skirts and trousers if you do not have last year’s, that you are welcome to have whilst you await.
If you have ordered you’re a skirt and/or shirt after the deadline of the 16th July 2024, then your delivery is likely to be late September.

New School Gate
To ease the flow of pupil movement at the end of the day, we have added a third new gate. This gate is at the exit of our new Tailored Provision Centre next to the Cadet building.
It is specifically for students travelling the direction of the Slough town who would normally turn left out of the original main gate by the car park.

Our Year Teams are composed on three members each. The Head of Year leads the team and is supported by a non-teaching Assistant Head of Year.
This year we have allocated a Safeguarding Leads to designated year teams to improve communication and consistency.
