Professional Learning at OV

At Otselic Valley, we believe that professional learning is a lifelong process -- and that commitment was on full display during the first week of September. Several of our staff members stepped forward to lead workshops for their colleagues, sharing expertise and strategies to strengthen teaching and learning across the district.

Lori Youngs led a session on social emotional learning, helping staff explore ways to support the whole child in the classroom.

Jake Preston demonstrated methods for building thinking classrooms, encouraging students to engage more actively in problem solving.

Joe Gross provided practical tips on getting the most out of the IXL platform, a tool that supports personalized learning in multiple subject areas.

We are proud of our teachers for their leadership and collaboration. Their willingness to share knowledge and learn from one another ensures that OV continues to grow stronger together.
