Message from a 5th Grade Exhibition Group

We are the animal shelter fifth grade exhibition group. We are wanting to help the All Aboard Animal Rescue. It is a local animal shelter that holds many pets with no homes. Here is one of the many animals that are there. His name is Outlaw. He was born without eyes but is still incredibly sweet. Adopt now at All Aboard Animal Rescue!

Upcoming State and District Required Assessments:

In our spring semester we will be administering annual state and district required assessments. Please make note of the dates for the assessments your child will be taking and, whenever possible, please avoid absences during the testing periods. Please note that, on testing days, if students arrive late after testing has begun, they will not be able to join their class until testing has completed for the day. Having students on time and present on testing days helps us gather valuable data while minimizing interruptions to daily instruction. Please help us meet that goal!

Typically, assessments begin in the morning and conclude each day prior to lunch.

News from Art

Thank you, Riffenburgh families, for your supply donations to our studio! It is really helping us keep stocked up on creative materials! I am getting a surplus of a few items, so I am sharing a new list with you below. Thanks to you all, we have lots of magazines and cardboard that should last us a long time.

The donations will still be accepted in the drop-off location in the main entryway. If you have any questions about items to donate, please contact me via email at czawadzki@psdschools.org.

Thank you,

Mr. Z

News from PE

To Families of 4th and 5th graders,

Happy Spring Break! I hope everyone is able to enjoy this break from school. I wanted to send some preliminary information for you to get on your calendars in regards to our annual PSD District Elementary Track Meet, which will take place this May. The main meet will take place on Saturday May 11 from 8-12:30 at Timnath Middle High School (please note changed location!), with the rain date being Saturday May 18, same time and location. Distance events will take place on Thursday May 9 from 5:30-7, also at Timnath Middle-High, with the distance rain date being Thursday 5/16.

We will be diving into our track unit after spring break and will culminate again this year with a track meet here at Riffenburgh on the morning of Wednesday April 24. I will again be looking for volunteers, I do not have that ready yet, but please save the date if you are interested in helping out.

I will send more information home regarding both events as we get closer, but I wanted people to be able to get the dates on their calendars. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mrs. McAnally
