St. Paul School Weekly News November 7, 2025

Principal Message

Dear St. Paul Families,

As we conclude our Remembrance Day observance this week at the school, we want to extend heartfelt thanks to our staff and students for the reverence and reflection they brought to our ceremony. It was a moving reminder of the deep gratitude we owe to those who have served and sacrificed for peace. Together, we prayed not only for the fallen but for a world continually guided by justice, compassion, and hope.

In this month of All Souls, we continue to hold in prayer all those who have gone before us, trusting in God’s promise of eternal life. May our remembrance inspire us to be peacemakers in our daily lives—at school, at home, and in our community.

As we approach Fall Break (November 10–12), we encourage everyone to take time for rest, renewal, and connection with family and friends. May this break be a time of gratitude for the blessings in our lives and a reminder of God’s presence in the ordinary moments of rest and joy.

Thank you for your continued partnership in faith and learning. Wishing you a peaceful and restorative week ahead.

Have a wonderful weekend & fall break,

Mrs. Carr-Jeschke & Mrs. McNamee

November 27- Drop in Demo of Learning

As we settle back into the school year following the recent learning interruption, we have decided to adjust the format of our upcoming Parent-Teacher Interviews on November 27. Instead of scheduled interview times, we will be hosting a Drop-In “Demonstration of Learning”.

Parents and guardians are welcome to stop by the school anytime between 1:00–5:00 PM to visit classrooms, view student work, and connect with your child’s teacher.

If you are unable to attend during those hours but would like an opportunity to speak with your child’s teacher, please reach out to them via email to arrange a phone conversation or an alternate meeting time.

We look forward to welcoming you into our classrooms and celebrating the learning that’s taking place!

December 18 - A St. Paul Cozy Christmas

Christmas concert update

With the loss of instructional and preparation time in October, we have decided to adjust the format of our Christmas Concert this year to best support both student learning and our celebration of the Christmas season as a school community.

In lieu of the traditional concert at St. John the Evangelist church on December 10, homeroom classes will instead be sharing a Christmas carol celebration on December 18 at 11:15 AM in the school gym, following our pancake breakfast.

Kindergarten students will sing first to honor their end of the day time; families who wish to stay with their child after Kindergarten pick up are welcome to do so. Bright Minds Out of School Care will be invited to watch the performances should they want to.

Families and extended families are warmly invited to join us — and even join in! — as students share songs that celebrate the joy and meaning of the season together.

As we come together in song and community, may we be reminded of the hope, peace, joy, and love that the birth of Christ brings to our world.

St. Paul Read A Thon 2025!

St. Paul students are participating in a Read-A-Thon from November 17-21st! The minimum goal is for students to read 15 minutes per day at home.

If students would like to set a higher per day goal, they are welcome to do so. For younger grades and early readers, it is fine if students participate in shared reading activity. These minutes count!

Each student will track the number of minutes read every day between November 17-21st. Ask your family, friends, and neighbors to pledge a donation to your read-a-thon in support of St. Paul!

School PD Day- November 28th - Postponed

With the learning pause that occured over the month of October, the decision has been made to postpone our school PD Day on November 28th. Classes will continue as usual. The PD Day will be moved into the New Year; when the date is finalized with the Division, it will be shared with families.

Enjoy Your Weekend!
