Sharing Some Characters On The Streets Of Leadville
Photos here are just one part of the Leadville Boom Days in Colorado. It's a unique mountain festival celebrating the historic old west of this town. The two-day activity is filled with with gunslingers, burro races, contests of mining skills, a street fair and craft booths. This year it was celebrated from August 2nd through the 4th.
Leadville has the highest elevation of any incorporated city in the United States, located in the heart of the central Colorado Rockies. Leadville's elevation of two miles above sea level nestled in a beautiful high mountain valley surrounded by the highest mountains in the state.
