Alaska Marine Terminal Inspection - Global diving & salvage -

Global Conducts a Successful Marine Terminal Inspection in Alaska

In the heart of Alaska, our team at Global Diving & Salvage was contracted to conduct a thorough inspection of a passenger terminal amidst the busy Alaskan cruise ship season.

Navigating Alaska's Busy Season

This job was conducted at a pivotal port for cruises in Alaska. Its location is where many ships either start or end their journeys.

Additionally, the Alaska cruise season typically runs from late April through early October, with the 'high season' falling between June and September. This project happened to take place at the time of the high season.

The team was tasked with inspecting all the pilings at the passenger terminal without disrupting the ongoing cruise ship schedule with ships coming and going from both the east and west sides of the terminal.

Any shutdowns due to cruise ship traffic would have been costly.

Precise Piling Inspections

Our dedicated team, backed by experience, accomplished this project efficiently. Despite tight schedules as well as logistical hurdles, Global inspected every piling without any work stoppages.

Upon completion of the project, the team had inspected thousands of pilings and hundreds of linear feet of sheet pile wall.

Safety Takes the Lead

Safety is always Global's top priority on every job, and this inspection was no different. Throughout this project, the team attended daily safety meetings and all involved were dedicated to a safe working environment.

Relentless Rain

Throughout the project, the team contended with relentless rain. Our team persevered, working diligently despite the rain and cold temperatures. Luckily our Alaska team is no stranger to inclement weather.

Congratulations to our AK Global Team
