Cylchlythyr Ysgol Saltney Ferry "Cydweithio, gallwn gyd llwyddo."

We have had another excellent week in Ysgol Saltney Ferry with plenty of exciting activities planned in the coming weeks!

There is a noticeable difference in the children's independence in lessons and around the school. This is helping them to take charge of their own learning. I am seeing lots of children take great pride in their work and continue to have an increase in Headteacher's awards. This has been fantastic!

Pupils have been working hard to challenge themselves, use more Welsh and represent our school rules. Da iawn chi. Every area of school life displays enthusiasm and hard work. I am delighted with the progress that the children continue to make.

Thank you to all the families that have taken part in our Family Welsh Project. As usual, we have had a variety projects which represent energy in our local area. Well done to all the children - these will be judged by our Governing Body this week.

Finally, can I just say a big thank you to our parents, who continue to support the school in its vision for our children.

Working Together We Shall All Succeed.

Diolch Mr Martin.

Dosbarth Gwynant have had a week of headteachers awards for completing mega challenges set by Mr Martin. We’re also working on persuasive writing and are currently planning and creating a brochure to attract people to visit different places in Wales. Gwych!!

This week we have had a big focus on money in Maths. We have been adding amounts using number lines and even drew on the tables with chalk pens to practice!

We have also been using the green screen to record our own Welsh weather reports. We drafted the scripts ourselves using the phrases we have been learning and then edited the videos to create our own weather reports!

Dosbarth Padarn are thoroughly enjoying Forest School. This week they explored independent outdoor play and making hobby horses!
Our friends chose to use the painting area and create the 'Lonely Tree'. We explored how to create textured art. Da iawn chi!

In Dosbarth Alwen this week we have been leanring about size, based on The Three Bears using mawr, canolig a bach.

Our children have also been introduced to 'Sam a Non', characters in our Welsh book during our guided reading.

Our 'Egni' family projects are coming in fast! They are bendigedig!! Last remaining to be in this week coming 'os gwelwch yn dda'.
