Sister Peggy Szeljack, OV appointed as Vice Chancellor of the Diocese of Lubbock
LUBBOCK- Most Rev. Robert M. Coerver, Bishop of Lubbock, announced the appointment of Sister Peggy Szeljack, OV as the Vice Chancellor of the Diocese of Lubbock on March 5, 2025, with certain responsibilities of the office beginning in July.
The appointment adds assistance to the Diocese of Lubbock Office of the Chancellor delegating responsibilities of the office to the vice chancellor. The vice chancellor will assist the chancellor’s office as a substitute or a second responder to complaints.
The vice chancellor also serves as Chief Operating Officer of the Catholic Pastoral Center, Building A on the diocesan administrative campus. The duties of vice chancellor will also include serving ex officio on the Diocesan Review Board.
As vice chancellor, Sister Peggy Szeljack will supervise the Diocese of Lubbock Office of Communications, oversee Diocesan Archives, serve as canonical notary for the diocese and assist in updating the Diocesan Pastoral Handbook.
Vice Chancellor Sister Peggy will also serve as a non-voting secretary to the Clergy Personnel Board and oversee promotion and communication of second collections beginning in July 2025.
Sister Peggy Szeljack will serve as vice chancellor while continuing service as the Director of the Evangelization and Family Faith Formation Division of the Diocese of Lubbock.
Deacon Adrian Jimenez continues serving as Chancellor of the Diocese of Lubbock, Director of the Office of Marriage and Family Life, and Director of the Guadalupe Youth and Family Center of the Diocese of Lubbock.
