Technology Services Galveston welcomes you to the Galveston Campus!

This resource was developed specifically for the TAMU and TAMUG students located on the Galveston Campus. We offer local technical support for students, faculty, and staff. As a new Aggie, you must understand the power of your account and the resources that you have access to as a Texas A&M student. Please take a moment to review the provided resources and reach out to helpdesk@tamug.edu if you have any questions!

Let's get started!

Howdy!

Howdy keeps you connected to your grades, courses, and TAMU resources.

NetID VS. UIN

  • NetID is your username to log into Howdy and all Texas A&M-provided resources.
  • Your NetID@tamu.edu is your TAMU student Gmail account.
  • UIN is your numerical TAMU ID shown on your Aggie ID card.

Manage your NetID, email, and password through the Aggie Account Gateway.

DUO - NetID Two-Factor Authentication

Duo adds an extra layer of security to Texas A&M NetID accounts. Follow the steps below to gain secure access to Howdy and the TAMUG Virtual Labs:

  • Navigate to your smartphone’s app store.
  • Search Duo Mobile to download the free Duo Security's mobile app to your device.
  • Browse to duo.tamu.edu and click "Enroll in Duo".
  • Use your Texas A&M NetID (without the @tamu.edu) and password to login.
  • If you have not yet added a device to use with Duo, click "Start Setup".
  • Make sure to choose DUO Push authentication method.
  • Enrolling in Duo 2-Factor Authentication at TAMU video

DUO Approval Access For Account User Only

The DUO mobile app should only be installed on the student’s device to allow the student to access their account. If a student needs to grant parents/guardians access to their student records, then the parent will set up their own NetID account and will need DUO to access their parental/guardian account.
