About me

My name is Sam Hamilton, I am graduating from Englewood High School this year and I am a member of the Broadcast Journalism team at Englewood High School. I helped edit a video talking about a Doctor Suess themed musical titled "Suessical the Musical". Once the video/article was posted onto the school website known as the Pirateer, I was credited for it along with Emily Garcia Banuelos, Emmanuel Berdiales and Jack Neyens. Before that I was using the editing software on the Broadcast Journalism computers and I had a lot of fun with that editing.

"In November of 2000, a musical theater buff took the story of Horton the Who by Dr Seuss and turned it into a Broadway show. Now, Englewood students are bringing it to life on the EHS stage. Seussical the Musical has been received by sell-out audiences at EHS".

Summary

I believe this Broadcast Journalism elective gave me a good idea of what the real life version of it will be. I had an idea of what Journalism was like such as reporting and investigating, however this class gave me an introduction to what the true life version of it will be like. I loved how we ran news stories on The Pirateer, how we documented events at the school and how we interviewed people.
