A Quote from the Director of athletics

“Mark is such a deserving recipient of this national award. For nearly 30 years, Mark has served the Azusa Pacific community by investing so much into building the tennis programs, and he often has done so behind the scenes and in the shadows. He not only does a great job of recruiting globally, but he is able to bring these student-athletes into the program that he has built and make them feel at home and comfortable right here in Azusa. As a result of that atmosphere, his teams are able to go out and compete at an elite level year in and year out, and his student-athletes depart Azusa Pacific with a fondness and love for Azusa Pacific.” - Director of Athletics Gary Pine
