MPLS North High School Construction Activites Progress | March/April

Work in March

2nd Floor Math Classrooms

  • Began & Completed Selective Demolition of walls, ceilings, and flooring.
  • Began Installing new wall framing, ductwork, and electrical.
  • Demolished two exterior walls in preparation for two new full-height windows.

1st and 2nd Floor Bathrooms

  • Began selective demolition of walls, floors, and ceilings in preparation for brand new restroom refresh.

Exterior Work

  • Lifted two new Trane building chillers to rooftop.
  • Made final piping and power connections to new Trane building chillers.

Upcoming Work in April

2nd Floor Math Classrooms

  • Install structural steel at two new window openings
  • Install new HVAC unit (AHU-39) to serve new math classrooms
  • Install drywall on new walls

1st and 2nd Floor Bathrooms new auditorium

  • Sawcut, remove existing floor on 1st floor
  • Install new underground plumbing
  • Pour concrete for new floor

Exterior Work

  • Start-up and commission new building cooling system
