Important Race Information:
- Familiarise Yourself with the Route. We strongly recommend that all participants familiarise themselves with the race route before the event. This will help you feel more confident on race day and reduce any potential confusion. •
- Registration Times: Registration opens at 9:00 am. Please ensure you arrive with plenty of time to register, collect your race number, and prepare for the start. Please note there is no bag drop. Any item left unattended is at your own risk.
- Course Conditions: • Crossbow recreation ground: There are a few holes in Crossbow Ground. Please be cautious and watch your footing. • Hilly Fields: You will enter by crossing over the bridal track gate so please watch your footing. The ground in places may be uneven and slippery if wet. There are also loose stones in part so please take extra care.
- Safety Guidelines • Roads: Please be aware that roads are not closed during the race. Stay vigilant and always give way to traffic where necessary. • Headphones: We discourage the use of headphones so that you can stay alert to your surroundings, especially when crossing roads and interacting with other runners and marshals. • Marshalls: Marshalls will be stationed at key points along the route to guide and assist you. Please follow their instructions. You can also look out for yellow route markers and follow them throughout the course.• Water Station: A water station will be available along the route. However, we encourage you to bring your own water bottles for both pre- and post-race hydration.
- Safety Talk A safety talk will be held before the race starts. Please ensure you attend this talk, as it will cover important information about the course and race day procedures.
- Post Race Activities As usual we are hosting our Rainbow Run (hosted by Party Peeps) and have a BBQ, Bar, Cake and Ice-cream van. Why not stay and enjoy the fun and reward yourself for all your hard work!
- Volunteers If you know anyone who wants to get involved, but doesn't want to run 10k then get in touch as any additional support we can get on the day, the better.
- All proceeds from this event go directly back into the school to provide extra resources and activities for our children—giving them even more opportunities to learn, grow, and have fun.
Thank you for your attention to these details. Your safety is our top priority, and we want everyone to have a great time while supporting a fantastic cause.
We look forward to seeing you on race day!
Best regards,
Claire and Katie
