FAFSA: The Key to Unlocking Financial Aid

As high school educators, you play a vital role in preparing students for life beyond graduation. For many, this means helping them navigate the often overwhelming process of financing their education or career training. One of the most important tools in this journey is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The FAFSA is more than just a form, it’s a key that unlocks a world of financial aid opportunities.

Have You Unlocked the Power of AI?

With AI by your side, you can address your students' unique needs more effectively while reclaiming time to focus on what truly matters: guiding, inspiring, and connecting with your learners.

Enhancing School Safety Across Genesee County

The Genesee County Emergency Operation Plan Committee, supported by Genesee ISD, was formed in 2012 and is dedicated to ensuring that the county’s Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) aligns with the newly released All-Hazards Emergency Operations Plan from the State of Michigan Office of School Safety.

This committee, made up of representatives from GISD alongside school personnel and emergency responders from across Genesee County, is conducting a detailed “crosswalk” process. This involves comparing the existing EOP with the new template to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.

New Access to Whole Child Resources

Genesee ISD is proud to announce the launch of a new webpage designed to provide our professional educators with resources and information to support the whole child.

The whole child model broadens district and school focus beyond academics to address the needs of the child including social-emotional, health, physical, and safety.
