Dreamwork Reviews

Puss In Boots The Last Wish

February 9th 2024

The first film I will be reviewing from my blog is Puss In Boots The Last Wish. When first going in to watch Puss in Boots the last wish I was expecting something similar to the previous Puss in Boots film which I could hardly remember. But to my surprise, Puss In Boots The Last Wish was a fun adventure filled with creative action as well as positive messages.

During the film, I had an amazing time never felt like the movie never wasted any time and made the most of every minute they had. The action sequences in this film were extremely creative and hilarious throughout the film. I don’t want to spoil anything but the villain you see throughout the file is done extremely well and even frightened me as an adult. I was also surprised to find the messages in the story to be very positive and moving.

Even the side characters had great arcs that made them compelling further increasing the overall experience when watching the film. This is a great film to watch with families of all ages as long as you're willing to submerge yourself and dive into the fun world of puss in boots The Last Wish.

Kong Fu Panda

Fedurary 16th 2024

The next film on my list is ill be reviewing is Kong Fu Panda. When going to watch Kong Fu Panda I felt worried it was going to be another film making fun of a character for their weight. To my surprise, it was a wonderfully crafted movie about embracing who you are, and as the movie says "there is no secret ingredient". Kong Fu Panda successfully subverted my expectations with a compelling story with amazing action and good comedic elements. I would recommend this film because is fantastic for the whole family everyone can find something to enjoy with this film. The characters are creative and interesting plus the villain has great motivation and feels like an overwhelming threat.

How to Train Your Dragon

February 22nd 2024

Now we're going to take a look at How to Train Your Dragon. When watching How to Train Your Dragon I was completely sucked into their world of dragons and a kid trying to prove himself to others. This film had a wonderful story to tell full of heart, friendship, and adventure. The relationship between the father and son was especially moving for me because I've had similar experiences with my father. Of course, the main aspect of the story is the relationship between the boy Hiccup and his dragon Toothless which was lots of fun seeing them interact and grow to trust each other. By the end of the movie, even I wish I had my own pet dragon to go on adventures with. This is another film that is lots of fun for the family with good impactful messages.

A New Home?

An interesting thing that many may not know is that in August of 2016, Dreamworks was bought by NBC University. Even though under new ownership DreamWorks has continued to grow and produce great films such as How to Train Your Dragon the Hidden World, and Puss in Boots The Last Wish. Under the ownership of Universal also has had a partnership to implement Dreamworks characters in their parks around the world years before the acquisition but now they could be implemented more after the deal. Some of the attractions by Universal and Dreamworks include Shrek 4-D, Madagascar: A Crate Adventure, DreamWorks Theatre, and more.

The Future?

Dreamwork is continuing to create new films and be a part of new attractions in partnership with Universal. According to Rober Niles in his article titled Here's a sign for something new coming to Universal Orlando "The new DreamWorks land is replacing the former Woody Woodpecker's Kid Zone at Universal Studios Florida next year. And now, the new land has its marquee in place. Universal has not yet announced an official opening date for its DreamWorks land, save to say that it will debut sometime in 2024".
