Riverside Fire Authority (RFA) is a community-based fire department formed in 2008 by the merger of the City of Centralia Fire Department and Lewis County Fire District 12. With 26 career staff and over 50 volunteers, RFA provides fire and advanced life support emergency medical services across northern Lewis County. Serving 40 percent of Lewis County’s population in just 7 percent of the county's land mass, RFA answers an average of one-third of all 9-1-1 fire and emergency medical emergency responses in Lewis County.
