KUA Celebrates Admitted Students

KUA announced admission decisions March 10 to applicants seeking enrollment for the 2025-26 academic year. The Office of Admission marked another remarkable season as it saw a 22-percent increase in applications representing a wide breadth of geographic diversity, with admitted students hailing from 19 countries and 24 U.S. states. Campus is busy preparing for families to arrive for Admitted student Days in April!

Project Week Brings Learning to Life

Before the campus community departed for a well-deserved Spring Break, faculty and students participated in Project Week, a summative learning experience designed to engage students in hands-on learning and focused reflection. From tapping trees for sap in chemistry to visiting Rauner Special Collections Library at Dartmouth College to filming a French music video, faculty brought learning to life.

Finding Inspiration in a "Circular City"

Lane '25 leveraged an experience in Amsterdam, a city that prioritizes environmentally friendly practices, to further his passion for sustainability and urban planning.

The trophy cases in the newly renovated Whittemore Athletic Center are about to get some shiny new additions as the boys’ varsity hockey team capped off its 2024-2025 season with a trio of titles.

Girls' Team Plays for NEPSAC Championship Title

The New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Girls Basketball Coaches Association named Girls' Varsity Basketball Head Coach Angelica Pascual Class C Coach of the Year for the 2024-25 season.

Scenes From: Les Misérables

The Theater Department packed Flickinger Auditorium for three nights with its production of Les Misérables for this year's Winter Musical. More than 60 members of the community joined together to put on the production of Victor Hugo's epic French novel. From acting to lighting to costuming to makeup to the score to set design, the show was a true demonstration of KUA at its finest.

On the Hunt for Assassin Flies

Dr. Charlotte (Herbert) Alberts ’11 is one of only five scientists in the country who researches assassin flies, officially Diptera: Asilidae, even though they are incredibly important in most natural habitats around the world.

Save the Date for the KUA Spring Auction!

Kimball Union will kick-off its Spring Auction beginning April 25 with bidding closing May 2. The online auction will directly support KUA’s annual fund, which benefits all aspects of the Academy. Bid on a variety of items, including sports memorabilia, vintage KUA apparel, one-of-a-kind handcrafted items, and unique experiences. There will be something for everyone! In addition to the auction, we will have a “fund-a-need” initiative, calling for donations to directly support KUA’s financial-aid program.
