Rebecca Celeste, from Miami, Florida, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in film from Full Sail University. Shortly after earning her degree, Rebecca enlisted into the U.S. Navy where she served for 8 1/2 years. Before receiving her honorable discharge from the military, she began taking acting classes at the University of California San Diego and San Diego Community College where she rediscovered her love for storytelling. She is in her fourth year at Howard University in the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts, set to graduate, receiving her BFA in acting with a minor in playwriting in May of 2025.

Artist Statement
The art that is acting is one of the many modes of self expression that connects us all. Acting differs from the rest in its ability to explore the complexities of being human. It is a state of vulnerability, allowing others to see into the life of someone else by stepping into their shoes, taking in their struggles, their joy, their pain, their victories, their lessons… their world. It is one of the many reasons why I chose to pursue this career. Actors don’t only entertain. We teach. We share. We bring together. We introduce mankind to each other creating, not only an understanding, but empathy for one another. It puts on full display that we are more alike than we are different. Through each role I take on, I seek not to merely impersonate, but to truly inhabit the essence of another person, to explore the thoughts, desires, fears, and contradictions that make them who they are. I strive to be real, raw, and honest in my roles, creating moments that resonate with audiences so deeply, it transforms them. Art tells the truth, and I believe the truth in that art makes the world a little better.
