UA Wildcat Corps improves lives and communities by serving as a statewide network that provides lifelong educational programs for all Arizonans. AmeriCorps Members focus on the AmeriCorps priority area of education by providing experiential learning opportunities for youth. Community needs are addressed with service that strengthens the capacity of individuals, increasing educational attainment and fostering positive development.

Summer 2024 Positions

Currently, we have open positions for Summer 2024 throughout the state of Arizona, all varying in hours, stipends, and educational awards. These positions are aimed to help our Arizona communities grow and thrive, but also to help members grow personally and professionally through service. Pinal County 4-H Youth Development Program

Availability: 300 Hour Slots for Summer 2024

AmeriCorps members serving in 4-H Youth Development programs assist with the expansion, development, and implementation of these programs for young students. In Pinal County, members support the mission of the 4-H Youth Development program by providing assistance in developing, marketing, and presenting 4-H curriculum and STEM programming to youth in grades 2-5.

Graham County Health Department Instructional Aide

Availability: 300 Hour Slot for Summer 2024

The AmeriCorps member serving as the Graham County Health Department Instructional Aide will be involved in community outreach, education, and health in partnership with the Graham County Cooperative Extension and Graham County Health Department. They will primarily support Graham County Health Department programs in public health, mainly in the areas of mental/behavioral health programs and environmental health!

Graham County Instructional Aid FCHS (Family, Consumer and Health Sciences)

Availability: 300 Hour Summer 2024 Slot

One of our ever changing programs, an AmeriCorps Member serving as the Graham County Instructional will be involved in community outreach, children/youth, education, and health. This position is very diverse, allowing the AmeriCorps member to work in a variety of different programs with audiences of all ages across our community.

Pima County Tucson Village Farm

Availability: 300 Hour Slots for Summer 2024

Working at Tucson Village Farm and the 4-H Healthy Living Center, an AmeriCorps member has the opportunity to engage in a variety of tasks like teaching cooking classes, running team building programs, and growing fresh produce. A member working here needs to be a flexible team player who enjoys interacting with youth. Members will receive training in arid land food production, youth development, leadership development and program design and implementation, and more!

4-H Camp Program Specialist

Availability: 300 Hour Slots for Summer 2024

The AmeriCorps member serving as the 4-H Camp Program Specialist at the James 4-H Camp & Outdoor Learning Center will provide youth and adults with a state-wide residential camping experience. This member will be a part of the Program Specialist Team and will contribute to the expansion, development, and delivery of specialized camp programming. This is quite the outdoorsy AmeriCorps experience, as this member will be able to engage in a variety of camp leadership activities!

Maricopa County Master Gardener Program

Availability: 300 Hour Slots for Summer 2024

Grow your skills with the Maricopa County Extension Master Gardener program. This new position supports a variety of strategic initiatives that advance the goals and improve the effectiveness of the Master Gardener program; These include public outreach and education on water conservation, and home horticulture practices for urban desert environments.

Maricopa Early Childhood Family Resource Center (FRC)

Availability: 300 Hour Slots for Summer 2024

Maricopa County's Family Resource Center (FRC) provides family support, enrichment activities, and early childhood professional development. An AmeriCorps member serving here will provide program support, teach a variety of curricula, conduct community outreach, marketing, and engagement activities, assist with social media; and interact directly with children ages 0-5.

UA Wildcat Corps Team Coordinator

Availability: 300 hour slot for Summer 2024

The UA Wildcat Corps team coordinator serves as a liaison between the UA Wildcat Corps team and the members of the UA Wildcat Corps program. This AmeriCorps member's tasks will include creating and monitoring of content for the UA Wildcat Corps social media pages, along with creating and developing marketing materials for member recruitment.
