Location: UTSA – Hybrid work modality
Duration: Spring 2026
Internship Description:
We are seeking 8-10 highly motivated and intellectually curious students to join our team as Student AI Partners. This internship offers the opportunity to learn about Generative AI, complete a microcredential or badge, contribute to the development of student resources for Generative AI, work with faculty and staff to improve coursework using GenAI, and advocate for innovative technologies for peers.
Responsibilities:
Learning and Skill Development:
- Complete short microcredentials or badges related to Generative AI
- Attend training sessions and team meetings to enhance knowledge of AI technologies and best practices.
Research, Development, and Documentation:
- Research Generative AI technologies and effective practices for application in various fields.
- Contribute to the development of student guidelines and resources for the ethical and effective use of Generative AI.
- Assist in the creation of educational materials related to Generative AI for students and faculty.
Collaboration:
- Partner with team members to brainstorm ideas and identify effective practices to help students and staff use Generative AI effectively and faculty incorporate Generative AI in the classroom.
- Serve as an ambassador to promote ethical, effective, and innovative AI use on campus.
- Participate in team meetings and discussions.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a UTSA undergraduate or graduate program and in Good Academic Standing.
- Enrolled full-time in spring semester (minimum of 12 credits for undergraduates, 9 credit hours for graduates).
- Strong interest in Generative AI and emerging technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
