We're looking for the right people to keep the Bristow Ireland Search and Rescue helicopter fleet flying high and saving lives for years to come.
Our cadet scheme, run with Castle Air, offers successful applicants a sponsored route to becoming a fully-fledged helicopter pilot, with a long and rewarding career on offer.
Bristow Pilot Cadet programme
The Bristow Pilot Cadet Programme is run in conjunction with Castle Air Aviation Group.
There are only a limited number of places available on the programme and competition for places is high.
Minimum application criteria
You must have passed your Leaving Certificate (6 subjects) at O2 grades at ordinary level, or H6 at higher level or better in Maths and English.
Applicants must be over 18, have the right to live and work in Ireland and be fluent in written and spoken English.
Applicants must hold a valid Class 1 UK Flight Crew Medical Certificate.
The training is sponsored but applicants will have to support their own living costs during the course.
Successful applicants will embark on a 24-month course primarily based at Gloucester Airport, UK, with possible elements in Florida. You'll be expected to relocate if necessary and, after the training, will be deployed to one of Bristow Ireland's SAR bases.
