Join us for the Africa West Leadership Training (WALT) happening in Accra, Ghana! We invite you to join the field leadership of Young Life Africa West as we gather together to worship, pray and learn.
Dates: August 23 - 31, 2025
Experience. Young Life has been reaching kids in Ghana since 2015 and now has staff members and over 190 ministries. Spend time with leaders and join them in meeting kids, having Club and participating in other ministry opportunities.
Engage. Groups will be hosted by local staff & leaders. Personally see leaders engaging kids and witness how they show up in a teenager's life. Draw closer to God and each other as you build relationships.
Explore. Your Expedition will include a some special adventures so we can explore the beautiful country and rich history of Ghana.
Itinerary
August 23: Leave U.S.
August 24: Arrive Accra, Ghana. Pick up at airport and transport to hotel. Dinner and worship with staff.
August 25: Breakfast at hotel. Morning introductions to staff and leaders with devotions. Afternoon tour of the city. Visit Independence Square and the national museum.
August 26: Breakfast at hotel with morning devotions. Spend the day visiting local ministries in the city. Visit a local Young Life Club and have fun with kids! Dinner back at hotel.
August 27: Breakfast at hotel with morning devotions. Morning worship and meetings with the staff. After lunch have free time or visit a Campaigner Bible study session. Dinner out at local restaurant.
August 28: Breakfast at hotel and morning devotion and worship. WALT leadership meetings begin. Join the team and hear about the exciting future of Africa West Young Life ministry.
August 29: Breakfast at hotel with morning devotions. Spend the morning with Young Life senior staff. After lunch, meeting with various leaders. Dinner at hotel. Breakfast at hotel and morning devotions and worship with staff. Last day of the WALT meeting. Final thoughts and debrief the week's experiences. Celebration dinner with all staff and visitors.
August 30: Breakfast at hotel and morning devotions and worship with staff. Last day of the WALT meeting. Final thoughts and debrief the week's experiences. Celebration dinner with all staff and visitors.
August 31: Breakfast at the hotel. Local shopping and prepare to depart on evening flights.
Cost: $1800* + Airfare
Included: Ground transportation, meals, lodging, and activities included. *Cost is per person, subject to change until time deposit is made.
Excluded: Airfare, visas, vaccinations or other passport related fees.
*Dates and costs are flexible depending on individual itineraries.
OPTIONAL TRIP EXTENSIONS
Trip is customizable with visits to a neighboring country like Senegal, Sierra Leone, or Cote d'Ivoire.
