Friday 6th Match 2026/Dydd Gwener, Mawrth 6 Dear Minera Families,
It has been a very busy week in school, with the highlight being our School Eisteddfod on Wednesday and World Book Day on Thursday. Everyone had a great time celebrating both events and learning about the importance of reading. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Thank you for your continued support and have a lovely weekend Kind regards, Spencer Williams Headteacher
Parents’ Evening – Monday 9th & Tuesday 10th March
Parents’ Evening appointments will last up to 10 minutes and provide an opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and future targets. You should now have received your appointment time. If you can’t make your appointment, please contact your child’s class teacher to reschedule. Please note: Parents’ Evening for Dosbarth Pioneers (Nursery, Reception & Year 1) will be rearranged as Mrs Tennant is currently absent. Mr Williams is available to speak to parents from Dosbarth Pioneers regarding any issues you may have.
Whole School Photograph – Wednesday 11th March
Instead of our usual class photographs, we will be taking a whole school photograph to celebrate Minera School’s 175th anniversary. Please ensure all children are in full school uniform and looking smart for the photograph. Pictures will be available to purchase through Tempest.
Cardiff Pupil and Parent Meeting – Wednesday 11th March
Dosbarth Navigators are really looking forward to their upcoming visit to Cardiff. On Wednesday 11th March, there will be an information meeting for parents and pupils in school. This will be an opportunity to learn about the activities the children will be taking part in, as well as a chance to ask any questions.
Parking Reminder
Please do not park or drop pupils off on the zig‑zag lines outside school. These markings are there to keep our children safe. Thank you for your cooperation.
