BIKE THROUGH OUR LOBBY
You’ve heard of bike paths that go around a hotel, but have you heard of one that goes right through a hotel? Well, that’s exactly what you will find at Hotel Zed Tofino. Ride along the well-known Multi-Use Path in Tofino, take a slight detour, and arrive right at Hotel Zed Tofino’s doors. You can proceed to bike right in and through the lobby, come out on the other side, and continue on your journey.
MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME IN OUR SUNKEN LIVING ROOM
Relax in our Sunken Living Room with two teardrop fireplaces, comfy couches, and good company. Sip on a beverage from ROAR or ROAR Coffee & Shop and play a board game with your favourite person.
PSYCHIC'S DEN
Yeah, you read that right. We have a psychic's den in our lobby! Fully decked out with a crystal ball and other mystic gear so you can see the future. What other hotel offers you this perk?!
Not your thing? You can just relax in this beautiful room and live in the moment.
We'll also be hosting legit psychics from time to time, so you don't have to take on the future alone.
SECRET ARCADE
While you're exploring our lobby area, keep an eye out for the arcade. The coolest part about this hidden gem? It's literally hidden. We aren't telling you where it is! We would call it a secret room, but is it a secret if it's on your website?
This tiny arcade is decked out with the very best, legit retro video games that are changed out regularly. Just get your tokens at the front desk and tap into your inner pinball wizard.
MINI DISCO
Get you groove on in our way groovy discotheque! It's like the coolest disco you've ever been to, but a little bit smaller.
Hook up your device to our sound system and start the party! We've got all the tricks: a legit fog machine, a glittery sequinned wall, an incredible mirrored disco ball, wicked lighting and a dance floor that just begs you to boogie. Seriously. This dance floor lights up to interact with your dance movies and your tunes. It's far out.
Wallflowers can relax on our comfy seating. There isn't a cure for Saturday Night Fever, but if you need to shake it off you won't find a better place than right here.
TOFINO INLET
The Tofino Inlet is the best-kept secret of this West Coast Community, and Hotel Zed Tofino has private access to it! Guests can enjoy this secluded natural wonder just steps from your guest room, on our property! Simply wander down our short rainforest path and you'll emerge at the waterfront.
Bring your coffee (or beverage of choice. No judgment here!), your yoga mat, your book, your binoculars (it's a bird sanctuary, after all!) or just yourself and enjoy the serenity of being outdoors in the most magical place in BC.
When you walk through the trails on property, don't forget to look up because you're on a bird sanctuary! You'll see a rich array of shorebird and waterfowl species in our West Coast wonderland. Every Spring and Fall, more than 35,000 Western Sandpipers stop by to visit. We love our winged neighbours and are dedicated to conserving this habitat for them.

DINE AT ROAR
Gather around the fire at Roar: Canada’s first restaurant to feature a charcoal Mibrasa grill. Located at Hotel Zed Tofino and modelled after Patagonian-inspired cooking, Roar is a live-fire and charcoal-fuelled restaurant that celebrates the unique experience and ingredients of Tofino in a way you've never seen before.
From the outdoor fire pits, charcoal oven and wood-fired gaucho grill, Roar takes food back to its simplest form – fresh, local ingredients being cooked over live fire. A nod to Tofino’s geography, Roar harnesses the roar of the ocean and the roar of the fire in an out-of-the-ordinary restaurant space.
The team behind the restaurant is as unique as the restaurant itself. Our team of chefs are on a mission to create a restaurant culture that rebels against the old status quo inside and outside the kitchen.
We also have an incredible selection of BC beers and delicious wine off sales available. Take your drinks and snacks and trek through the rainforest path behind Hotel Zed and enjoy them on dock with stunning views of the inlet or walk less than ten minutes to Chesterman’s Beach.

We commissioned this story in partnership with three local writers: Gisele Martin of the Tla-o-qui-aht Nation; Ian Gill, the CBC environmental reporter at the time of the Clayoquot Sound uprising; and Joanna Streetly, Tofino’s inaugural Poet Laureate. We hope you take the time to curl up with this story while you are here as it will give you a deeper connection to the history of Tofino and the land in which you are a guest.
