Karla Mohtashemi Photoshop Expert and Artist for Hire

Studio Photoshop Work

Welcome to my creative world! I’m Karla Mohtashemi, a seasoned visual artist with a love for transforming blank spaces into extraordinary visuals. My expertise in Photoshop allows me to bring vivid realism to digital art and photo manipulations, whether for branding, packaging, or personal commissions. From concept to final touches, I ensure each piece is crafted with attention to detail and creative flair.

Studio Art

In my studio, I work across multiple mediums—oil, acrylic, epoxy, and sculpture—to capture the essence of my subjects with texture, depth, and movement. Each medium brings a different dynamic to my work, letting me explore the limitless possibilities of form and color in both traditional and experimental styles.

Murals

My mural work can be found across the city, and in my client's homes, each piece telling a unique story inspired by the communities they’re created for. From large-scale public art to intimate indoor designs, I’m passionate about turning walls into narratives that connect with viewers and elevate spaces.

Below is my graffiti art of Toomaj Salehi, the brave Iranian rapper and voice of freedom, stands as a powerful symbol of resistance against oppression. Currently featured in the international exhibition Constellation of Complicity, in Bangkok, this piece honors Toomaj’s courage and the ongoing fight for human rights worldwide

Below is a concept art piece for a mural we are hoping to install in Seattle. This mural invites viewers to stand with life-sized images of women and girls leading the fight for gender equality and human rights. It also highlights the harsh realities faced by many in Iran—being gay, showing affection in public, belonging to ethnic minorities, or simply owning a dog—all acts deemed illegal or unaccepted, yet powerful symbols of resistance. The bold Persian phrase ‘زن زندگی آزادی’ (‘Woman, Life, Freedom’) echoes above, while vibrant red circles and swaying grass symbolize resilience and the dawn of change. Images like Nasibe Samsaei cutting her hair honor the courage ignited by Mahsa Amini’s legacy, celebrating the strength and unity of the Iranian people.

Art Classes

Teaching is one of my greatest joys, whether it’s guiding beginners through the fundamentals or helping experienced artists refine their skills. I offer workshops on a range of techniques, from oil painting and acrylic pouring to epoxy work and sculpture. I love seeing students tap into their creativity and discover new ways to express themselves.

The epoxy counters are custom made to order

The custom surround in the shower is both vibrant and tranquil.
This piece is rendered in epoxy, clay, wood, and other mixed media. At its heart, a woman cradles a baby marked with ‘Azadi’ in Farsi (the word for freedom), symbolizing Mahsa Amini giving birth to freedom through her sacrifice. Surrounding her, a circle of women represent the countless beautiful lives lost in the Woman Life Freedom revolution, their strength woven together with locks of hair binding them as one. You can see lion faces representing the fierce Shir-Zan, the lion women of Iran, standing strong and proud. The skulls beneath symbolize the end of the repressive government. This piece honors the courage, resilience, and spirit of freedom rising from tragedy.

Custom Epoxy art

Custom epoxy work is where I merge art and innovation. I specialize in creating dynamic, multi-dimensional pieces that bring a unique and modern touch to any space. From tabletops and wall art to functional home decor, my epoxy designs are crafted with precision and creativity, using vibrant pigments and metallics to achieve a high-gloss, glass-like finish.

I love working with clients to tailor each piece to their vision, combining colors, textures, and effects that bring their ideas to life. Epoxy allows for endless possibilities in layering and depth, making each artwork truly one-of-a-kind. Whether it's a bold statement piece or a subtle accent, my custom epoxy work is all about enhancing spaces with a touch of sophistication and artistry.
