Where to Stay! Comfort or Conveinence?

If there is one thing Disney cares about, it’s the little magical details they inject into their guests’ visits. This is why many people enjoy staying on property when they come for vacation. There are essentially three tiers to choose from when booking a reservation, so let’s look them over so you can put their service to the test.

There is Value, an excellent pick if you are just looking for a quick shower and a place to lay your head between fireworks and rope drop.

Then there are the moderate-level resorts, which are a little bigger than the first and have a few more amenities. So, if you are traveling with a larger party, you may want more space for everyone to stretch their legs after the day's adventure.

Finally, there is the Deluxe option, which is going to be at the higher end of the price range, but by far has some of the best views to wake up to.

So let’s take a closer look and break down each section.

Value Resorts

Value resort rooms are some of the most commonly booked, and there are two main reasons for this. First and foremost, these are going to be more budget friendly, so if you are looking to allocate your money to other expenses, this is an excellent choice for you.

The other reason to go with this option is if you are looking to spend all your time in the parks and only use the room for showering and sleeping. Let’s face it, if you are going to be in the parks from open to close, then you probably aren’t worried if you have a garden view or resort-style pool, right? The only downside to these is that if you plan on spending a lot of time at parks like Magic Kingdom and Epcot, they are a little farther away.

Now you have several fabulous resorts to choose from in this category, including

All Star Movies – Themed in some of Disney’s classics like 101 Dalmatians and Fantasia

All Star Music – Themed in a variety of music genres like Jazz and Rock.

All Star Sports – Themed to represent different sports like Basketball and Football,

All of which are conveniently located near Animal Kingdom

On the other hand, you have....

Art of Animation – A more recent addition styled to reflect popular Disney and Pixar movies like Finding Nemo and The Lion King.

Pop Century – Themed to represent different decades from 50’s to the 90’s.

These are located next to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

All of these are fun and brightly colored, so you still get a magical setting at a reasonable price.

Moderate Resorts

The moderate level resorts are a little more spread out than the value resorts with...

Cornado Springs by Animal Kingdom

Caribbean Beach by Epcot

Port Orleans which is separated into two sections (French Quarter and Riverside) and located near Disney Springs.

While these are a little more expensive than the value resorts, they do run a bit larger and accommodate more people.

Deluxe Resorts

Last but not least, you have the beautiful deluxe resorts which is the only category that really offers villa options. Some of these include...

The luxurious Polynesian

The elegant Grand Floridian

Which are both next to Magic Kingdom and have the added benefit of being two out of four of the stops on the monorail route.

There is also...

The exquisite Animal Kingdom Lodge, which is of course, located by, you guessed it, Animal Kingdom.

This resort has the unique distinction of having certain rooms that offer what is referred to as the Savanna View (animals like giraffes and zebras just yards away)!

Finally, suppose you are looking for a luxurious place to return and relax for breaks from the parks. In that case

There is always the Boardwalk Inn

Which has the bonus of being within walking distance of Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Ultimately, it really just depends on what you specifically are looking for during your stay. Each tier has something for everybody; if you save up long enough, all are technically affordable. Disney tries to ensure that their guests enjoy their experience at every level, and in my personal, completely biased opinion, they do!
