The 2023 NWOR Autocross Season was a busy one! There were a total of 10 points events plus one Driver's School and Team Challenge Event. Four events took place at the Owens Center for Emergency Preparedness and Six events at Eugene F. Kranz Toledo Express Airport.

In Memoriam

We would like to take a moment and remember Debbie Fessler and John Wiseman. Debbie was a SCCA Member and NWOR Member from 1991 to 2019. She was a former RE for the region, a Director at Large, and a Divisional Solo Steward. She was the program originator for the Novice group which started in 1999 (Originally called Speed Freakz). Debbie attended nationals from 1993-2004 (except 2002/3). She also won 4 National Championships (1998/9, 2001 ESL, 2004 SML). John became a SCCA Member in 2000 and then joined NWOR in 2005. He attend SCCA Solo Nationals from 2003 to 2022 except for 2012. Everyone remembers John by his catch phrase of "But did you have fun?" Both of these members will be missed.

NWOR Member's in the Trophies at Solo Nats!

The 2023 Tire Rack Solo National Championships took place this past September and celebrated its 50th year! The SCCA’s 50th Solo Nationals Steering Committee created a Solo-specific Pop-Up Museum. The committee who made this Mini Museum possible were Robert and Elaine Chrismas, Doug and Shelby Stoots, and Jason Thompson. On display at this mini museum were cars from each Solo Nats decade, championship trophies, jackets, rulebooks, driver info booklets, and various odds-n-ends spanning five decades. The NWOR Region had 41 primary NWOR region members attended the 50th Nationals in Lincoln, NE. 25 of our primary and secondary members trophied. There was a total of 5 National Champions and 3 Class Winners.
