Baseball Places 10th in SSC Preseason Poll
MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Eckerd baseball team was selected to finish 10th in the 2024 Sunshine State Conference preseason poll.
The Tritons received 27 points following a 22-27 record last season and 10-20 in SSC action. The Tritons continued to build in the 2023 season, posted a 21-0 win over Palm Beach Atlantic, the most runs over an SSC opponent since at least 1998.
Eckerd returns all-region performer Tyler Cox, who was selected to the D2CCA Second Team as a utility pitcher. He also received SSC Honrable Mention Honors while Cam Collier was tabbed to the all-defensive team.
Eckerd kicks off its season on February 2 for their home opener against Columbus State at 6:00 PM for a Teal Out.
