For my first project done in Adobe Illustrator, I decided to make a recreation of the scene from Frankenstein where the monster wakes up. I was inspired by Calvin and Hobbes and all of the creepy snowmen Calvin makes, especially since it was Halloween when I made it. I am proud of how I made it look like the lighting from the moon is glowing in the room.
This was a logo for a fake snowboard company named "Xtreme Latitude" and when I heard that name, I instantly thought of a "Totally Radical!" 90s type design. I tried my best to incorporate that design aspect, and I think I did a good job while still keeping it calm and original. I like the colors on the letters the most for this project.
In this project, I had to make a snowboard with symbols to learn how to use the symbol sprayer. I wanted to use some symbols I liked a lot so I used some that are subtle and recognizable if you know what they are. However, I soon realized that the symbols wouldn't work with the sprayer so I made them the main focal point and used a space theme for the rest of the design.
For this one, I had to design a show and piece together the printout. I used some of my favorite colors, hot pink and light blue, because I just wanted to use those colors since they're some of my favorites. When it came to the building of the shoe I feel like I did a good job using the Xacto knife and gluing it together, it really does look like a shoe that I would buy.
Red pandas are my favorite animal. So when we needed to recreate an artist's style that uses a lot of animals and specifically the color red on all those animals. I was excited to recreate my favorite animal. I think that the end product looks more like a pikachu mixed with a fox, but I am proud.
