A Serra man is known for his tenacity, persistence, and adaptability. A Padre is adaptable and prepared to take risks, make mistakes, and learn from them, which trains him to be a humble leader. Because Serra promotes a growth mindset, our students learn by making errors and taking healthy risks. We provide numerous opportunities for students to learn outside their comfort zones in an iterative approach. Our instructors, staff, club moderators, and coaches encourage each padre to persevere in the face of adversity, which aids in the development of resilience and self-confidence.

A Padre is a man of inclusion, embracing diversity and the gifts of others. He is intentional in his inclusiveness, humble in his self reflection, and courageous in his actions.
