The Link Between Animal and Human Abuse: Identifying the Gap Between Theory, Training, and Practice

TBC

Wrexham University is conducting research aiming to explore the gaps in how the link between animal and human abuse is currently applied within training and professional practice. Findings from the study may inform the development or improvement of education, training, and professional practice to respond to the link between animal-human abuse. We are inviting educators and professionals who are working in the animal sector (e.g. Vets, Vet nurses, Animal behaviourists, Animal charities and related organisation, etc.) or human support services (e.g. Police, Social Workers, Educators, Psychologists, Allied Health practitioners, etc.) to take part in focus groups to discuss their experiences and perspectives on the link between animal and human abuse. The discussions will help gather insights from individuals working across different sectors. Participation in the focus group is optional and voluntary, with no penalty. Venue: TBC Dates: TBC Time: TBC Places for the focus group are limited. If you are interested in participating in the focus group, please register your interest using the QR code. Once you register, we will provide all information about the focus group after which you can confirm your consent.
