Knoxville is one of the fastest growing cities in Tennessee. Although there are hundreds of churches in the city, approximately 70% are either subtracting or plateauing.

Cru has trained thousands of college students to share their faith. Now, Cru Church Movements has adapted that training for a church setting and infused it with practical tools and action steps that is easy for the average church goer to apply.

The Bible describes the Church in many ways– a body, a family, a temple, a bride. So, it's no wonder that there are many different expressions of church today – from megachurch to house church, believers are representing the character and mission of Jesus in contextualized ways.

Many believers do not have enough relationships with non-Christians. Engaging in serving their city / neighborhood puts them in proximity with more people who may be far from God.
Cru has no central funds for paying salaries and ministry expenses and so we depend on the consistent support of concerned individuals and churches.

Greg and Suzanne spent over twenty years serving with Cru in Eastern Europe. Since returning to America, they are drawing from their experience in campus and cross-cultural ministry to help equip local churches to reach the nations around them.
Church Movements, a division of Cru, was started approximately five years ago. Our vision is to help the church connect the lost to Jesus in wise and gracious ways and adopt a disciple-making growth paradigm that leads to church multiplication.
